The Boat
The vessel is a 23 foot Cape Horn that is powered by a brand new 2024 200 H.P. Suzuki outboard. She's outfitted with the latest navigational equipment available on the market and a spot lock trolling motor. The boat is extremely seaworthy for its size and allows us to fish many different styles. We carry all of the necessary safety equipment as required by the U.S. Coast Guard. The hybrid design allows us to fish shallow bay waters and also comfortably fish the Gulf of Mexico.
About the Captain
Capt. Bryan Bishop has lived in Panama City Beach most of his life and has worked on charter boats since the age of thirteen. He primarily charter fishes, but he also commercial fishes during the winter months. All together he spends roughly 300 days a year on the water. He has a diverse knowledge of in-shore and off-shore fishing. No matter your level of fishing experience, Capt. Bryan welcomes you aboard for your next fishing adventure!
Trip Details
Here at B&B Charters Capt. Bryan Bishop specializes in both in-shore and off-shore fishing. Customers can expect to fish with everything from light spinning tackle to heavy conventional gear depending on the trip. Everything is included with the price of the trip except for food, drink, sunscreen, and other personal items you may want to bring. Typically the longer the trip the better. Fishing license is included. Please check us on on Facebook for pictures of recent catches.
In-shore Fishing
Inshore trips consist of fishing the backwaters of St. Andrew's Bay and the nearshore waters of the Gulf of Mexico out of Panama City Beach, Fl. Customers can expect to target species such as tarpon, redfish, spotted sea trout, mangrove snapper, bluefish, ladyfish, flounder, spanish mackerel, sharks, gag grouper, cobia, sheepshead, and jack cravelle to name a few. We typically use light spinning tackle on this trip, something similar in size to a bass rod. In-shore trips are much less dependent on the weather because we can typically seek shelter from the wind. Please call or text to inquire about available species.
Off-shore Fishing
Off-shore fishing consists of fishing the waters of the Gulf of Mexico out of Panama City Beach, FL up to 9 nautical miles from shore. We typically bottom fish or flatline on this trip. We target species such as red snapper, grouper, vermillion snapper, white snapper, triggerfish, king mackerel, sharks, amberjack, mahi-mahi, sailfish, wahoo, barracuda, tarpon, flounder, and bonita to name a few. Customers can expect to use everything from light spinning tackle to heavy conventional gear on this trip. Please call or text to discuss fishing seasons or any questions you might have. We are using a hybrid bay boat, so offshore is much more weather dependent.
Kids Fishing Trip
This is the shortest trip we offer and it's designed to help parents with young children - typically ages 3 - 6 - get out on the water. It's similar to our in-shore trip, but it's only 2 hours instead of 4, so there is typically not as much "big fish" action. We typically fish for ladyfish, Spanish mackerel, or whatever provides the most action. At a minimum we typically see a lot of dolphins and other wildlife on this trip.
